Product description
Industrial installations are often exposed to extreme environmental conditions, such as both low and high temperatures. In environments where temperatures can range from -25°C to +40°C or even higher, it is essential to closely monitor the temperature of the UV-A LED installation. The UV-A LED engines, operating within the 365nm wavelength range, are specifically designed for applications requiring precise curing of materials via UV-A radiation. These LED engines are integrated into a modular aluminum heatsink, where both the length and cover can be selected to optimize the installation for specific industrial applications. Additionally, an RVS316 housing is optionally available, providing extra protection against environmental factors.
The LED engines are equipped with an NTC sensor (Negative Temperature Coefficient) that continuously monitors the LED temperature in real-time. This sensor ensures the LED engine performs correctly even under extreme environmental conditions. If the temperature rises too high or drops too low, it can negatively impact the LED engine’s performance and lifespan.
When combined with the MaNima Pollux industrial driver, the NTC sensor provides real-time temperature data, allowing the system to respond immediately to temperature changes. The Pollux driver is capable of monitoring the temperature of both the UV-A LED engine and its housing. Based on these measured temperature values, the Pollux driver can automatically reduce the maximum output voltage and/or current to ensure that the LED engine always stays within its safe operating temperature range. This prevents overheating, which could otherwise damage the LED and its performance.
With the integration of UV-A LED engines operating at a 365nm wavelength and the MaNima Pollux driver, industrial applications can now rely on reliable temperature management. This provides essential protection against overheating, extends the lifespan of LED installations, and ensures that the UV-A LED performance remains consistent even in environments with extreme temperature fluctuations.
The MaNima Pollux driver ensures that the UV-A LED engines always operate within optimal temperature ranges, which is critical for applications that depend on precise UV-A radiation for material curing, such as in the coating, adhesive, and resin industries. By regulating output current and voltage based on real-time temperature measurements, businesses can improve both the reliability and energy efficiency of their UV systems.
In combination with the MaNima Pollux Industry, it is possible to significantly increase the output of the LED Fixture. For more information about the MaNima System click here.
