LED profile lens hoods

Each LED profile can be equipped with a lens hood. There is a wide variety of lens hoods on the market. There is a different LED-strip profile or a lens hood for every application. If it is not to make the light diffuse, it is to create the correct opening angle or a combination of these.

For example, there are lens caps in opal, semi transparent, transparent and with 30 degrees and 60 degrees. The 30 and 60 degree lens caps reduce the opening angle of the LED, so that the light is bundled and create a nice grazing light.

Clear lens hoods cannot create a smooth diffuse line, the light reduction is minimal and the LEDs remain visible. In addition to the clear LED-strip lens covers, Luxalight also has satin-finished LED-strip lens covers. The LED line is more diffuse than with clear lens hoods. The satin-finished transparent lens hood therefore transmits 25% less of the light than clear lens hoods.

Opal covers provide a uniform homogeneous light where the individual LEDs are not visible. The light is softer than with clear and satin-finished lens covers. LuxaLight opal covers are ideal for applications where the profile is visible and no hotspots should be visible.

All lens hoods in the LuxaLight range are made of polycarbonate, UV resistant (so do not discolour) and fireproof.
